Cohn & Wolfe's dynamic and innovative intranet garners interactive media award
New York – February 24, 2009 – Cohn & Wolfe’s employee intranet, The Den, has been recognized by the Interactive Media Awards for Outstanding Achievement in the public relations category.
Developed in partnership with Vignette, a leading provider of solutions and services for dynamic Web experiences, Cohn & Wolfe’s The Den is a new kind of intranet—an internal social network that embraces the overarching idea of social media: spark conversations, nurture ideas and foster collaboration by encouraging anyone and everyone to create and respond to new content.
The Outstanding Achievement award is the second highest honor bestowed by IMA. Eleven PR agencies submitted in 2008, but only The Den received the Outstanding Achievement designation. The Den received an overall score of 465 (out of 500) based on the following criteria: Design, Content, Feature Functionality, Usability, Standards Compliance and Cross-Browser Compatibility. No other agency’s website has scored high enough to win an IMA award in the Public Relations category since 2006.

o Anyone can create a profile, community, blog, wiki or discussion forum
o Employees can bookmark, tag and subscribe to their favorite content
o Every office has its own community and homepage
o Content—including case studies, presentations, proposals, podcasts, articles and blogs—comes from the agency’s offices all over the world
The Den even makes it easy to see what’s new, as content on the home page dynamically updates based on user activity. Cohn & Wolfe also encourages employees to find colleagues with similar interests outside of work and create communities and blogs on these topics.
